An Exquisite Private Waterfront Sanctuary at Palm Beach

Designed by Ellen Kavanaugh Interiors, the Palm Beach-based firm recognised in 2020 with the Addison Mizner Award for Interior Design, this home is a soulful blend of styles and periods. Here, a barrel-vaulted, beadboard ceiling and a procession of arched French doors frame views of the water beyond, while sunshine-yellow walls, botanical drapery, and an exuberant floral upholstery scheme bring a sense of romance and ease to the formal bones of the room — coastal interior design at its most confidently layered.

For this Palm Beach residence, The Raj Company supplied a hand-carved console table, a glass-topped coffee table, and a set of bespoke armchairs developed in close collaboration with Kavanaugh's team. The console's fretwork detailing and gently curved silhouette were resolved to hold their own against the room's architectural presence, while the coffee table's clean lines offer quiet structure beneath the room's exuberant pattern.
