We specialize in handcrafted and custom furniture. Natural materials such as wood, rattan, cane, brass, and bone inlay naturally vary in grain, tone, and texture. These characteristics are part of the material’s authenticity and are not considered defects. Small variations in natural material are celebrated.
- All custom orders are confirmed only after receiving 50% advance payment against the order along with your finalised reference images, sketches, and dimensions.
- Any significant changes in design/specifications post-confirmation will affect the pricing and timeline of the order.
- CAD drawings must be approved by email before production begins.
- We are afraid that changes in design and finishes after approval will not be accommodated. In a few exceptional cases, we may be able to accommodate minor changes - these will carry an upcharge.
- Final finishing of the product will only begin after approval of our work in progress images.
- Orders once placed and confirmed cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged.
All pieces are handcrafted using traditional and contemporary techniques. Slight variations in finish, color, and detailing may occur due to the natural characteristics of materials and artisanal processes.
- All prices quoted do not include packing and shipping charges, taxes, duties, and destination-port charges.
- Our payment terms are as follows: 50% deposit/advance payment to confirm the order, and 50% balance payment + shipping charges prior to packing and shipping.
- Goods will not be shipped till the payment is received in full.
- Payments received against custom orders are non-refundable.
- All goods are dispatched from Mumbai, India.
- We ship worldwide
- International orders typically travel via ocean freight, unless otherwise requested.
- Shipping will be charged as per actual quotes received from our shipping agents and are subject to change based on prevailing international freight rates.
- Freight, packing, and insurance are charged as per actuals.
- Clients are responsible for all duties, taxes, and clearance procedures at their destination. These are not included in our shipping quote.
- Transit times vary by location and carrier.

- Shipments are covered by All Risk Marine Transit Insurance.
- In the event of damage, the client must:
- Photograph the damage immediately
- File the claim directly with the insurer within 7 days of receipt
- Ensure damage is noted on delivery documents if visible at receipt
- Insurance claims decisions are made solely by the insurance provider.
We are not liable for:
- Transit delays or damages
- Variations inherent in natural materials
- Damage occurring during transit. This should be claimed through your insurance cover.
- Costs or issues arising from customs clearance or destination-port procedures
All drawings, images, and designs created by us remain our intellectual property unless explicitly agreed otherwise and The Raj Company reserves all rights to use images of these products for the purposes of marketing.
All disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
