Perched high on a cliff above the Atlantic in Lyford Cay, one of Nassau's most coveted private enclaves on New Providence Island, Hope Hill is the longtime family home of Amanda Lindroth — the Palm Beach-raised designer whose name has become inseparable from the aesthetics of island chic. Renovated with cedar shingles, wide-plank floors, and shutters painted in a shade of green borrowed from the island houses of Oliver Messel, the villa embodies everything Lindroth's practice stands for: easy elegance, tropically inflected colour, pecky cypress panelling, and furniture chosen for both beauty and the demands of graciously entertaining. As observed in Garden & Gun, her dinner parties at Hope Hill, as one family friend observed, "feel fancy, but they're also incredibly fun — never fussy."

The Raj Company furnished Hope Hill in close collaboration with Lindroth, producing a collection of handmade pieces integral to the home's character: four-poster beds whose canopied form gives the bedrooms their sense of occasion, a dining table scaled for the generous gatherings the house was designed to host, side tables, chairs, and wall brackets — each resolved in the warm, unhurried spirit the property demands. The four-posters in particular carry the easy majesty that Lindroth has described as central to her vision for the home — grand without ceremony, and entirely at ease beneath the tropical sky.
