Where Distilling Meets Design: Inside the Handcrafted Interiors of Klocke Estate

On a gently sloping 160-acre farm in Claverack, along the ridgeline of the Catskills, Klocke Estate has established itself as one of the Hudson Valley's most considered destinations — a soil-to-glass brandy distillery and restaurant conceived with the seriousness of a European domaine and the warmth of a private estate. The 12,000-square-foot hospitality venue was designed by AD100 interior designer Ken Fulk, whose signature instinct for "dimensional, textured spaces" finds particular resonance here: hand-painted coffered ceilings, a marble and copper bar, surrealist murals, and a dining room furnished with distinctive nods to the decorative traditions of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

The Raj Company contributed a range of dining room furniture developed in close collaboration with Fulk's team, including wood tables with copper cladding — a material choice that echoes the estate's working copper stills — whose warmth and weight suit the room's unhurried, craft-centred atmosphere. Each piece was made by hand, the joinery and material selection resolved with the same attention to process that defines Klocke's approach to distilling itself.
