On Harbour Island, The Dunmore has occupied its ten oceanfront acres since 1963 — originally as a private members' club, and from 2010 as one of the Caribbean's most quietly celebrated boutique hotels. The transformation was led by Amanda Lindroth, for whom The Dunmore was among her earliest and most defining commissions: fifteen nautical-chic guest cottages where vintage rattan sits beside modern Lucite tables and John Robshaw textiles. As Lindroth herself noted of the hotel's signature detail in The Financial Times, the aqua-and-white beach umbrellas were the natural starting point for every design decision that followed.

The Raj Company contributed a range of handmade furniture to the project in close collaboration with Lindroth's team: cabinets, a greeter's station for the arrival sequence, four-poster beds, cabinets for the guest cottages, and coffee tables — each piece made to inhabit Lindroth's layered, sun-drenched interiors with the ease and quiet confidence the hotel demands. Featured across the pages of Coastal Living, Condé Nast Traveller, and Veranda, The Dunmore remains the standard against which Bahamian boutique hospitality is measured.
