When New York and London-based design studio Greco Deco set out to transform a storied 19th-century neoclassical mansion on Oslo's Inkognitogata into one of Europe's most quietly exceptional luxury boutique hotels, they turned to The Raj Company to bring their vision of bespoke furniture to life. Working in close collaboration with Greco Deco's founder Adam Greco, our craftsmen created a range of custom-designed, handmade furniture pieces conceived expressly for Villa Inkognito's eleven intimate suites and rooms — each one a layered study in eclecticism, drawing from Classic Norwegian, Art Nouveau, and Japonisme. From intricately carved wood headboards to custom case goods bearing marquetried details that echo 19th-century Norwegian motifs, every piece was built to honour the building's elaborate plaster ceilings, original panelling, and deeply personal sense of place.
